I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
